Outdone.
Although last year’s Christmas present from Ally was impressive, get ready for THIS.
Normally, Ally and I enjoy shopping for each other- we wear the same size, like the same style, and are the only 2 in our sibling-hood who remember to get each other presents for special holidays. Daniel normally chips in half of the cost which means Ally and I know we can get something nice :)
This Christmas, Daniel said he wasn’t going to chip in! WTH. Ally and I are startled by this and slightly irked that our gifts from each other will most likely be from the clearance section at nordstrom rack.. BUT. This morning proved to us that the spirit of Christmas indeed triumphs over all!!!
Daniel not only crocheted little rice-filled friends for both me and ally, but he went a step further.
One painful trip to the fabric store, an emptied middle school award frame, 3 broken needles, and 5 sleepless nights later, Daniel Lam presented us with these:
A scrapbook frame for me and a hand-sewn bag for Ally!
The best Christmas present this year is that Daniel suffered greatly and yet (we believe) discovered a deep, new found respect for Ally’s and my crafts. Merry Christmas to us. and to Daniel.
